Q & A

BASIC INFO
I design and hand fabricate all of my jewelry. Nothing is cast from a mold in multiple. Each piece is finely crafted with care and loving attention given to the details. Many of the pieces are one-of-a-kind and cannot be reproduced. With rings, I tell people if you love it and it's your size, then the ring was made for you!
PAYMENT
I accept payment via check, money order or PayPal. Once you click the "buy now" button on an item, you will be directed to PayPal's site to complete the transaction. If you are not comfortable using PayPal, please email me and we can set up arrangements for you to pay by check or money order. All sales are final, I do not accept any returns.

SHIPPING
Orders are shipped insured, priority mail, through the US Postal Service.

SOME FAQ's
Q: How do I measure for my ring size?
A: Many people buy rings too big for them. A good rule is that the ring, when on, should slide on the finger slightly, but stop when it hits the knuckle and need a sideways tweak to get it past the knuckle. The best bet is to go to a jewelry store and ask to be measured, or bring a ring that fits you well to a jewelry repair shop and have it measured. Keep in mind you may have to go up a 1/2 size for very wide bands.

Q: Do you do special orders?
A: No, I am no longer taking any custom orders.

Q: How do the belt buckles attach to belts and what size of belt do they fit?
A: The belt buckles are designed to attach to belts that have a snap system, so the buckles can be changed. Many vintage belts are made this way, but you can also find new belts made with snaps as well. The buckles are designed to fit a 1 3/4 inch wide belt.

Q: Where do you get the belts? Can I get another color?
A: The belts are all high quality artisan leather, bench-made here in the USA. A small company called Solesu in Illinois supplies my belts. If you want to buy an alternate snap belt for your buckle in another color, you can view their selection here:Solesu Snap Belts

Q: The vintage buttons are so cool! Where do you find them?
A: I'm always on the hunt for interesting, rare buttons. I started with a large collection that was given to me, I find some at estate sales, little buttons shops and of course, ebay.

Q: What is tagua nut?
A: Tagua Nut, also known as Vegetable Ivory, is a inedible nut grown on a tree in South America. The crops are grown in fair trade collectives and have been part of a program to save the rain forest from conversion to farming and has provided a means for native peoples to make a living. In Victorian times, this material was used to replace ivory for buttons and small carved objects. It has some of the characteristics of ivory - it can be easily carved, yet is durable, it develops a beautiful patina over time, becoming more glossy and lusterious. Each one of my pieces has been hand carved and dyed.
